I wanted to start recording some of our guild runs, especially those when we take out new bosses, and was wondering if anybody had any good information on any programs that would be great to record some vids to show the world who we are?
Let me know.
Icekasket (Blood Elf Mage), Jes (Blood Elf Death Knight), Coldkasket (Troll Priest), (rest semi-legion)I used Fraps back in the day. Not sure if there is anything newer out.
Locrion [Death Knight] | Clamy [Priest] | Soldjin [The Forgotten One]So...there are a few things to consider here.
First, you need the software. Get Fraps. The free version used to limit you to 30 second clips or so. I had, at one point, picked up a legal copy. I'm not sure where that's at, but it wasn't very expensive.
Second, recording raw video data to your HD can slow your gameplay down a lot. So, you'll want to have a second HDD and put your recordings on the second HDD.
Lastly, video editing software. You can use something like iMovie/Microsoft Video. Those have limited feature sets, but can be useful for making some quick videos. If you want to add in effects and such, then you're going to want to get into something like Adobe Premiere Pro. I know that there is crazy software fro the Mac too but since I don't have one and don't use it, I don't know what it is. Hell, it may be iMovie! ;D
What OS?
